Claudine Barretto was asked about her love life
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto is currently single and pausing her love life, revealing that she is not yet ready for a serious relationship.
Claudine’s love life was quite colorful. She had much-publicized relationships with actor Mark Anthony Fernandez and the late actor Rico Yan. She was also married to actor Raymart Santiago.
Then, a few months ago, she was linked to Milano Sanchez but later clarified that they never became a couple officially.
Speaking to reporters on July 30 at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, just after the conclusion of the Maddox Iconic Runway: Diamond Jewelry Fashion Show 2026, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actress explained that while she attempted to date after her last romance, she is now in absolutely no hurry to fall in love again.
When asked if love life is one of her wishes for her 47th birthday, Claudine Barretto answered, “Wala muna! Ano muna, pause after 12 years. Nag-try naman talaga ako na, I mean, mag-date and all.”
Claudine has previously addressed rumors about her and Milano Sanchez, explaining that they were never officially dating. On the other hand, she said that they are good friends; they still talk and see each other from time to time.
The actress also shared that her birthday was highly emotional, confessing she originally had no plan to celebrate while still mourning her mother and brother.
Although hesitant at first, Claudine realized the value of celebrating milestones after her family, friends, and supporters threw her a surprise party.
“Parang na-realize ko, dapat talaga siguro every birthday, mag-celebrate kahit maliit. Pero ‘yun, sobrang happy. Sobrang happy ako,” the actress said.
Meanwhile, Claudine Barretto became a trending topic after her Home Along Da Riles Da Reunion co-star Pepe Herrera had an intimate kiss during the movie’s premiere night. Just recently, Pepe clarified that the kiss was not an issue with his wife, and Claudine also released a statement about this.
