Ping Lacson shared an update on his accusation about ghost projects in Taguig
The team of Senator Ping Lacson documented at least two distinct “case studies” of infrastructure projects that exist only on paper in Taguig City.
Reports stated that out of P6.79 billion total insertions alleged against Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, only 68 out of 70 projects were implemented.
Lacson’s camp claimed that the remaining two projects, valued at P75 million, are either unreleased or unobligated. Cayetano firmly denied the existence of ghost projects in Taguig.
Sen. Ping Lacson made these accusations against Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano after the latter questioned the sudden increase in the former’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth.
Lacson, defending his financial success, stressed that while he was on break in his political career, he ventured into the real estate business. He stressed that he is not a corrupt public official.
Previously, Lacson said that there had been people telling him that Director and currently the General Manager of PTV, Lino Cayetano, the younger brother of Sen. Cayetano, is ready to assist the investigation into the supposed anomalous projects in Taguig.
In a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, Lacson shared an update on the alleged ghost infrastructure projects in Taguig. Based on his post, this was the third update on this issue. He also aso said that more pieces of evidence were discovered.
“TAGUIG GHOST INFRA PROJECTS UPDATE # 3: Ang daming damning (evidence). The plot thickens. The list lengthens. The case strengthens. Kung merong ‘shoot sa balde’, meron ding SHOOT SA KALDERO,” the former police chief wrote in his tweet.
Meanwhile, Sen. Ping Lacson’s recent statement about a “bopol” in the Senate also became a trending topic on social media. Even though he did not mention any name, many netizens speculated that this was for Senator Robin Padilla.
