Court favors TVJ over Anjo Yllana
A court has ordered actor-TV host Anjo Yllana to pay P3.5 million to TVJ Productions, Inc. in connection with a case filed against him for his statements about Eat Bulaga and its hosts.
To recall, Anjo claimed that Senator Tito Sotto, one of the pioneer hosts of the longest running noontime show had a mistress. Tito Sen immediately debunked the allegation against him.
Anjo also claimed that host Jose Manalo stole former EB Babes dancer Mergene Maranan from him, and he linked Alan K to former PBA player and incumbent San Juan City councilor James Yap.

TVJ took legal action on this matter. Based on the article in PEP, on Monday, June 29, 2026, Presiding Judge Gloria Monica S. Lopez of Branch 279 of the Regional Trial Court of Mandaluyong City issued the decision in the case.
On Tuesday, June 30, TVJ Productions made public the court ruling, including the permanent injunction and damages imposed against Anjo Yllana.
This meant that Anjo, along with his representatives and anyone acting on his behalf, is permanently prohibited from posting, sharing, reuploading, or disseminating on TikTok, TikTok LIVE, and other social media and digital platforms any statements that may damage the reputation, goodwill, and brand of TVJ Productions and Eat Bulaga.

The court also clarified that this protection covers the hosts of the noontime show where any defamation against them has a direct impact on the name and goodwill of the program.
Anjo was also ordered by the court to pay TVJ Productions a total of P3.5 million. The P1 million is for temperate damages; PHP1 million for moral damages, PHP1 million for exemplary damages, and PHP500,000 as attorney’s fees and litigation costs.
All monetary awards will be subject to 6 percent legal interest per year from the time the decision becomes final until it is fully paid, as the ruling stated.
