Grade 11 Student Injured After Assault by 2 Siblings Outside School in Bacolod City
A Grade 11 student was injured after being attacked by two siblings outside a school in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City.
On Thursday, June 25, 2026, the victim suffered from headaches and body pain due to the assault. The school officials and the families involved immediately action on the incident.
According to school administrators, the conflict began with a misunderstanding that developed before the assault took place. Reports showed that a Grade 12 student became upset after believing that the Grade 11 student had behaved inappropriately toward his girlfriend.
The issue was brought to the attention of a teacher, who stepped in and tried to settle the disagreement before it could worsen.
At the time, the situation appeared to have been resolved peacefully. The Grade 11 student did not respond aggressively, and the matter seemed to have ended inside the school. However, the situation changed after classes were dismissed.
School officials learned that the Grade 12 student, together with his Grade 10 sibling and another senior high school student, waited for the Grade 11 student outside the school grounds. When the victim left the campus, he was allegedly confronted and physically attacked.
The injured student later complained of headaches and pain in different parts of his body. Because of his condition, arrangements were made for him to undergo a medical examination, including a CT scan, to make sure he did not suffer any serious injuries.
After the incident was reported, school authorities immediately called all those involved and met with their families. The students responsible for the assault were strongly reprimanded and were required to sign a written commitment stating that they would not engage in similar behavior again.
Meanwhile, the family of the students involved in the attack agreed to cover the victim’s medical expenses.
