Reportedly, Pres. Bongbong Marcos does not like Jonvic Remulla’s recent performance
President Bongbong Marcos is allegedly disappointed in Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Reportedly, the dismay that PBBM felt was because of Remulla’s failure to catch high-profile “fugitives,” and the most recent was Senator Bato dela Rosa, based on a report from Bilyonaryo News Channel (BNC).
To recall, the senator went back to hiding after his surprise appearance at the Senate plenary session to vote for Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate President, which ousted Sen. Tito Sotto.

Dela Rosa is evading arrest after reports surfaced that the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against him. Following the shooting incident, Dela Rosa was able to leave the Senate.
Aside from the Senator, another high-profile fugitive is businessman Atong Ang, who was allegedly the mastermind behind the death of the missing “sabungeros.”
In a statement last April, Remulla said that they were getting closer to arresting Ang. The month of May is about to end, but there has been no reported development in this.
Former spokesperson of the Duterte administration, Harry Roque, was also mentioned, as he also fled after his name was dragged into the POGO scandal.

Then, there’s former Congressman Zaldy Co, who stayed outside the Philippines to evade investigation connected to the anomalous flood control projects.
With these “big fishes” still hiding, reportedly, President Bongbong Marcos is already frustrated with Sec. Jonvic Remulla was allegedly thinking of getting Benhur Abalos back to handle the DILG.
However, it was said that because of Ombudsman Boying Remulla, the DILG Secretary’s brother, PBBM had the supposed intent to replace Secretary Remulla could not yet push through because of the influence of the Ombudsman.
