Polo Ravales talked about his younger years with Dingdong Dantes
Actor Polo Ravales shared the bonding that he and Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes had during their T.G.I.S. days.
T.G.I.S. was a youth-oriented drama series on GMA Network, which was directed by Mark A. Reyes and later by Dominic Zapata. This featured the brightest stars of that generation.
The story revolved around a group of friends in their teenage years, and as they grow up, they encounter various situations at different stages of their adolescent life.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Polo Ravales shared some of his fondest memories during their T.G.I.S days and the bonding he had with Dingdong Dantes and their co-star Dino Guevarra.
“Alam mo, Tito Boy, kasi noong time na ‘yun parang naglalaro lang kami, kasama ko si Dingdong Dantes. Tsaka, ‘yun ang one of my first TV shows, so talagang memorable,” Polo shared. He also said that they were all friends in the show. They would go out together like barkada, and he often went out with Dingdong and Dino.
Polo also recalled how generous Dingding was because he learned how to drive because of the Primetime King.
“Dun din ako natutong mag-drive, parati ko ginagamit ang kotse ni Dingdong, parati ko hinihiram. Tinuturan din niya ako mag-drive sa village,” Polo recalled.
He also shared that when they would go out back then, his mom would entrust him to Dingdong and Dino, because he is the youngest among them.
“Talagang minsan pagka gumigimik kami, talagang inuumaga na kami, Tito Boy. At si Dingdong and Dino ‘yung passes ko sa Mom ko. Kasi, ako ‘yung pinaka-youngest sa kanila, e. So, pagka nagpaalam ako hinahabilin ako ng Mom ko kina Dong at Dino na ‘Kayo na bahala dito kay Paul, ah,” the actor shared.
Meanwhile, aside from T.G.I.S., one of the hit shows that Polo Ravales did was Anna Karenina and the original Encantadia.
He attributed his longevity in the entertainment industry to his mindset when a certain role is offered to him. Polo said that he would always do his 100 percent when it comes to acting.
“Parang, ibibigay mo lahat kada eksena. Kahit na maliit na eksena talagang you are gonna give your all. Walang tira, kasi hindi mo alam kung hanggang kailan ka may trabaho, so ako talaga I gave my 100 percent,” Polo shared.
