The cinema industry endured another big loss as award-winning actress Sue Prado died at the age of 44. The cause of her death was not disclosed by her family.
Known for her work in both independent cinema and television, Sue built a steady career as a character actress, earning recognition for her compelling performances across a wide range of film and TV projects.
As of the latest, the wake and urn viewing for Prado will begin on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium, specifically at the Diligence Chapel along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
The wake will continue until Monday, April 20, at 5:00 PM.
Meanwhile, Sue’s film credits include Barber’s Tales, Oro, Area, Himpapawid, Dagsin, and Thelma. She also appeared in television series such as Gameboys, Abot Kamay na Pangarap, Prinsesa ng City Jail, My Father’s Wife, and FPJ’s Ang Batang Quiapo.
She also served as a jury member at the Sharm El Sheikh Asian Film Festival in 2019, where she evaluated entries in the feature film category.
The late award-winning actress was born on May 18, 1981, and her career reached a major milestone in 2004 with the psychological drama Sabel.
