Sen. Tito Sotto flaunted this achievement for himself
Senate President Tito Sotto stated that since 1992, he has consistently been “never late, never absent” in the Senate.
From being a showbiz personality, Sotto entered the political arena. He first ran for Vice Mayor of Quezon City, and eventually laddered to the national political scene.
For several terms, he served as a senator, and in 2022, he opted to run for a higher position, as vice president with his running mate, Senator Ping Lacson. Neither of them succeeded, and both returned to the Senate as well.

In a recent report, it was stated that among the current senators, Sen. Tito Sotto is among the four who had perfect attendance. He was joined by Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Robin Padilla, and Joel Villanueva.
Meanwhile, the senator who had the most number of days absent was Sen. Bato dela Rosa, who has been receiving criticism for still receiving his salary even though he is not performing his duties. Based on Senate Records, Dela Rosa was not able to attend 31 Session days.
For his complete attendance, Sen. Tito Sotto shared a post about this on his Facebook Page. He shared an art card showing his photos as a senator since his first term up to the present. It was stated in the art card, “Never Late Never Absent Since 1992.” Then, this statement was written at the bottom portion, “Tunay na maaasahan ng Pamilya Pilipino.”
“Mula 1992 hanggang 2026, consistently ‘never late, never absent’ si Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III. Hindi lang sa pagiging present nasusukat, kundi pati na rin sa daan-daang batas na naipasa. Hindi titigil sa paglilingkod at tunay na maaasahan ng pamilyang Pilipino!” the caption of the post stated.
This garnered various reactions from netizens. Some had their laugh reactions, while for some this deserved to have the like and love reactions. Sen. Sotto‘s page opted to deactivate the comment section.
