Realizing what was happening, the engineer immediately reported the incident to the MMDA Traffic Engineering Center.

Authorities responded quickly to the report. The suspect was taken into custody and brought to Galas Police Station 11 for further investigation. Officials are now working on filing the proper charges against him.

Stealing traffic light cables is considered a serious offense because it can disrupt the flow of traffic and put motorists and pedestrians at risk. Damaged or non-working traffic lights can lead to confusion on the road and increase the chances of accidents, especially in busy intersections.
