Amid Pending Arrest Warrant in PH, Harry Roque Now Faced with Alleged Land-Grabbing Accusation
HARRY ROQUE – The former presidential spokesman of ex-President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is accused by farmers of alleged land-grabbing.
Roque remains out of the Philippines for more than a year now since he fled after the House of Representatives cited him for contempt. The former presidential spokesman of Duterte is being investigated over his alleged ties with the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the country.

While he’s away from the country, Duterte’s former spokesman is a staunch critic of Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the Marcos Jr. administration. He has repeatedly stressed the accusation against the Chief Executive linking him to illegal drug use.
Harry Roque also previously expressed a prayer asking for deliverance from Marcos Jr. He also believes that a hospital is allegedly being built inside the Malacanang Palace as the administration supposedly keeps the real status of the health condition of the President.

Amid being away from the Philippines, a local court in the country issued an arrest warrant against Harry Roque. However, with Duterte’s former spokesman being an asylum seeker in The Hague, Netherlands, the Philippine government admitted that it won’t be very easy to bring him home to the country.

Recently, based on a report on News5, several farmers in Mariveles, Bataan have filed a land-grabbing complaint against Harry Roque. The complaint was confirmed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
According to NBI Director Melvin Matibag, 17 individuals claimed that more than a hundred farmers had long anticipated to receive certificates of land ownership for a 138-hectare property. However, the complainants who are farmers were allegedly shocked later on to find out that land title had instead been transferred to a firm identified as First Bataan Mariveles Holdings Corp.

The NBI Director added that investigators are now tracing the individuals behind the company to establish its ownership. Based on the report, as of this writing, Harry Roque has yet to issue any public statement in response to the land-grabbing accusation against him.
“Ang nangyari dito, may mga masasamang-loob na nameke at naisyuhan sila ng title,” said Matibag. “Ngayon, ‘yung lupa na ‘yan, dapat ‘yan tatayuan ng POGO (Philippine offshore gaming operator). Ito ‘yung kay Harry Roque e, tatayuan nila ‘yung First Bataan na tinatawag,” Matibag said.
Harry Roque, a lawyer, previously served as the spokesman of former president Rodrigo Duterte between 2020 and 2021. However, he has also faced separate allegations of ties to a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) in Porac, Pampanga.
Harry Roque has yet to release a statement or comment online regarding the newest accusation against him. Previously, Duterte’s former Spokesman claimed that he will only return to the Philippines after the term of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ends.
Harry Roque has repeatedly called on Marcos Jr. to resign from the presidency and give the position to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Last month, the Vice President has announced her decision to run for the presidency in 2028.
