Amid the Ongoing Middle East War, Marcos Jr. Speaks Anew on Oil Supply in PH
MARCOS JR. – The Philippine President claimed that several other countries are allegedly willing to help the Philippines over the oil supply.
The war in the Middle East has affected several other countries that are not directly involved in the tension that has escalated among the United States, Israel, and Iran. It began over three (3) weeks ago after the U.S. and Israel launched joint airstrikes against Iran.

According to U.S. Pres. Donald Trump, he attacked Iran to prevent it from acquiring nuclear power and allegedly destroying the world. His defense came amid an admission that his country makes a lot of money because of its oil resources.
However, for countries like the Philippines, the soaring oil prices as the country relies heavily on imported oil is affecting countless Filipinos. The pump prices have increased twice already since the Middle East war started and another price increase is expected this week.

Amid the protests, Malacañang stressed that the series of oil price hikes is not the fault of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nor the PH government. Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro underscored that the government is balancing its assistance towards the transport sector and the commuters.

“Ang hiling lang natin ay pang-unawa at pagtitiwala sa mga desisyon ng gobyerno na binabalanse ang pagtulong sa mga mananakay at sa mga transportation sector,” the Palace official said.
Marcos Jr. previously told the Filipinos that there is no need to hoard as the country has enough oil and food supply. He also previously admitted that the government is already talking with other nations that could provide us with oil.
Recently, the President spoke anew on the oil supply in the Philippines amid the ongoing war in the Middle East. He stressed that he is already talking with the trade partners of the country including India.

Marcos Jr. also expressed that he is already talking with other countries including China and Japan for possible oil supply arrangements with the Philippines. Based on the post, the President claimed that several other nations are allegedly ready to help the nation.
“Tungkol naman sa supply ng langis, nakikipag-usap na po tayo sa mga bansa na ating mga trade partner gaya ng India. Ngunit, sinasama na natin lahat ng mga iba at nilalapitan ang China, Japan, Thailand, Brunei, South Korea patungkol sa mga posibleng supply arrangement. Maganda naman ang naging usapan natin. Buti na lang at talagang kina-kaibigan natin sila at sila’y handang tumulong satin,” the President said.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also gave a message for the protesters amid the soaring oil prices in the Philippines.
