Working Student Expresses Frustration After Losing Phone in Vehicle During Commute

A working student is seeking help after losing his cellphone during a commute, but the finder demands P5,000 for return.

The student, identified as Jerome Sumagka, was on his way to school when he accidentally left his phone inside a multicab. He only realized it was missing after getting off the vehicle. Worried, he immediately asked for help from teachers and tried to call his number using another phone.

Someone answered the call, but instead of returning the device, the person asked for the phone’s password. Jerome chose not to share it, which led to the caller suddenly turning off the phone. This made it harder for him to track or contact the person again.

The working student earns just enough to cover his tuition and basic needs, and losing his phone has made things even more difficult.

The young man is now facing added stress with exams approaching. He also admitted that he feels hesitant to ask his family for help, as he does not want to add to their burden.

Despite the situation, Jerome remains hopeful that the person who found his phone will choose to return it.
