VP Sara Duterte Speaks on Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Anew
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos allegedly has lots of shortcomings as president.
A few years before the next national polls, Vice Pres. Duterte was already welcomed as “the next president of the Philippines” when she visited Digos City in Davao del Sur. The Vice President has recently declared her intention to run for the presidency in 2028.
The declaration of Duterte came amid her rift with Marcos Jr. which the public is aware of. Previously, the President as well as the Malacañang Palace wished Duterte a “good luck” following her presidential bid announcement. The Vice President also revealed that she has allegedly recruited someone to be her running mate but she refused to name names.
When she announced her bid for president in 2028, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that she saw that Pres. Bongbong Marcos allegedly did not fulfill his campaign promises. In 2022, they were running mates under the platform of unity.
During her recent visit in Digos City, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte criticized Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. anew. Based on News5, during an interview, the Vice President claimed that the President allegedly has a lot of shortcomings as a leader.
Duterte pointed to the absence of Marcos Jr. during the repatriation of overseas Filipino workers from the Middle East. According to her, a president should show empathy and visibility in times of crisis.
Furthermore, based on the post, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also stressed that leadership is allegedly not only about policies but also about being present for the people. She also stressed the alleged corruption in the government.
“Marami siyang kakulangan bilang Presidente, hindi lamang sa pagbibigay ng simpatya at empathy sa ating mga kababayan. More than that ay ‘yung problema at iskandalo sa paggamit ng pera ng bayan,” the Vice President said.
Currently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is faced with two (2) impeachment complaints that the House of Representatives’ Justice Committee found as sufficient in form and substance. Recently, her camp confirmed that the Vice President, through her legal counsels, have submitted her response to the impeachment raps.
In her answer to the impeachment raps, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte asked the House Justice panel to dismiss the impeachment complaints citing the alleged lack of ultimate facts. The Vice President filed her response on the deadline set by the committee.
