Naga Mayor Leni Robredo Spotted w/ DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon
LENI ROBREDO – The former Vice President and now Naga Mayor reacted to her possible tandem with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon in the 2028 Elections.
The visit of Pres. Bongbong Marcos to Naga City and his meeting with Mayor Leni Robredo was previously given colors. The President visited the city for Oplan Kontra Baha but his visit was linked to the announcement of the presidential bid of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte which came a few days ahead of it.
Both Marcos Jr. and Robredo who were nemeses during the 2022 presidential elections denied that there is politics involved in their meeting. According to the President, the most political thing that he did during the visit was to wear his pink socks in honor of the Naga Mayor.
Pink was the campaign color of Robredo in 2022. The Naga City Mayor admitted that she considers it as really a big deal that the President will visit their city.
Former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo was asked about her possible presidential run in 2028 which she refused to answer. The Naga Mayor stressed that she just assumed the mayoralty position and there are still a lot of work to do.
“Ang dami ko pang trabahong gagawin at marami tayong lahat trabahong gagawin at gaya sa akin, kauupo ko lang bilang mayor. Hindi pa nga one year. Para pag-usapan ‘yung 2028, parang disservice naman ‘yun sa mga tao,” Robredo expressed.
During the visit of Pres. Bongbong Marcos in Naga, DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon was also there. They inspected the flood control projects in the city led by Naga Mayor Leni Robredo as it is usually the pathway of storms in the Philippines.
Recently, DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon is back in Naga City to inspect the areas where the Oplan Kontra Baha is being conducted. According to News5, the areas include the Bicol River Esplanade. However, his recent visit in Naga triggered rumors of a possible tandem with Naga Mayor Leni Robredo in the 2028 Elections.
Based on the post, former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo agreed that she and DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon are really a tandem now but it is for work and not for the 2028 Elections.
“Tandem naman kami ngayon… pero sa trabaho,” the Naga Mayor said.
Furthermore, based on the post, former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo reiterated that the 2028 Elections is still far. According to her, there are still a lot of work that needs to be done.
“Ang tagal pa ng eleksyon, ang dami pa naming kailangang trabahuhin,” Robredo expressed.
