Leon Barretto Opens Up About Living Alone

Leon Barretto moves out of their family home after college and has no regrets.

In an interview, Leon Barretto opens up about his life now, living alone after he moved out of their family home when he finished college.

Last year, Leon and Marjorie Baretto graduated days apart, which was a memorable moment for their family. Leon finished his studies at the University Asia & The Pacific and shortly after graduating, Leon decided to try a life outside their family home. He moved out and is currently living alone in a condo.

In one of his vlogs, he expressed, “I’m officially moving out. I am saying goodbye to my mom and this is going to be my first time living alone. So I’m going to be taking you guys with me.”

Months after living alone, Leon, in an interview, shared that this was a decision he never regretted. He has been doing well since moving out of his family home to live in his own space.

At an event, he talked about this part of his adulting life and shared that it was challenging at first but rewarding at the same time. Currently, he is still working on improving his own space, but he did not deny how great it felt to have his own safe haven.

According to Leon, living on his own has helped him grow and appreciate the responsibilities that come with independence. It’s a fulfilling experience, and he added that managing his own place and daily routine has given him a stronger sense of accomplishment and personal growth.

“So I’m independently paying my electricity bill, my rent and all of that. But again, it’s just so rewarding and it just makes me more motivated to work. When it comes to my biggest expense, alam mo, I can’t really think of anything. I think it’s just as a whole, you know. Whatever I pay monthly, it’s medyo also quite pricey so I think that’s a big expense already in itself. Thankfully kasi, I was so smart with budgeting all the things that I bought for my house,” he also admitted.

He was able to organize his finances with the help of his eldest sister, Dani. He has money for the rent and other bills, for his personal use and daily spending, and for traveling. It’s a process of becoming more mature and self-reliant.
