Will ABS-CBN actor Richard Gutierrez allow his sons to join show business? This is what he shared about this matter.
In a previous article, Richard opened up about the co-parenting situation with Sarah Lahbati, his estranged wife. They have two sons, namely Zion and Kai. According to him, they are doing well in the co-parenting setup, which shows their maturity and openness for the well-being of their children.
“Okay naman, we have equal time with the kids. So far, everything is okay naman,” he said.
To recall, Sarah and Richard confirmed their separation in March 2024. Since then, they decided to establish this situation with equal time with their sons. Separation doesn’t mean one has to leave, and one stays with their children. In this way, they get to be the parents they wanted to be for them, minus the complete family in its literal sense.
With both of them being celebrities, is the actor open to the possibility of their sons joining the entertainment industry?
According to him, he could not say yes with finality, as to who would develop an interest in show business is still uncertain. Their two sons have different personalities, and based on his observation, their elder son is not as outgoing as their younger son.
“Kai is very outgoing, he’s emotional. I think Zion is more of the intellectual and [cognitive], you know,” the actor shared. Zion has been showing interest in singing and in watching his series.
Will he allow them to join? His response was, “Papayagan ko naman sila pero sa tamang panahon siguro. Timing.”
Meanwhile, Gutierrez will soon appear again on ABS-CBN’s primetime block with “Blood vs Duty,” alongside Gerald Anderson. This is another action project of the actor after the successful run of “Incognito.”
