Maricar Reyes was reunited with Bea Alonzo in this new Kapuso series
Actress Maricar Reyes talked about her first series on GMA titled Whispers From Heaven, with Bea Alonzo and Tom Rodriguez as lead stars.
Maricar had a long break when it comes to her acting career. She had some small appearances but not major projects. Howeevr, she was busy doing social media content and her managing her food business.
Just recently, it was announced that Bea is set to return to teleserye. The A-list was on break for almost a year. Her last teleseryes was Widow’s War which last aired back in January last year.
Following the announcement of the new Kapuso series, it was revealed that Maricar Reyes is one of the cast members. Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, aside from being excited to have a her first Kapuso series, Maricar is also happy to reunite with Bea Alonzo.
Whispers From Heaven is a political thriller. Maricar admitted that behind her excitement, she also felt a bit nervous because her last big role on TV happened a long time ago.
“Siyempre na-e-excite and medyo may kaunting kaba because it’s been a while since I was part of a teleserye. I think my last major role was almost 10 years ago. Siyempre may kaunting learning curve pero very supportive naman lahat, so I’m sure there won’t be any problem,” Maricar shared.
She also expressed excitement for the chance to work with Bea and Tom. Also included in the cast were Jason Abalos, Jake Macapagal, at Cassy Legaspi.
Maricar shared taht she was able to work with Bea and Tom in the past and she could say that both were very professional.
“Si Tom very light kasama. Si Bea, also, I look up to her as an artist, very professional siya,” she said.
When asked what the viewers could expect from the upcoming Kapuso series, Maricar Reyes said that it tackles a very timely topic and she hopes viewers can learn a lot from the story.
