Bong Suntay Wife Says Sorry To Anne Curtis, Asked People Spare Her and Her Children

BONG SUNTAY WIFE – The wife of the congressman says sorry to Anne Curtis and pleads to be spared, including her children.

Quezon City 4th district Rep. Jesus “Bong” Suntay made inappropriate remarks involving Anne Curtis. He has apologized to all those who got “hurt” by his lewd remark and also apologized to the actress.

However, he did not regret making the analogy that got him noticed by the media. He stood by it and still believed that he didn’t say anything wrong. In a previous article, Suntay believed he deserved the backlash online due to his controversial remarks.

Amid the buzz, the congressman’s wife has finally spoken. In a statement, Sheila Guevara addressed the controversy and expressed that she does not support her husband’s remarks. She and their children do not agree with the analogy and dismissed the rumors that she laughed at the remarks.

She then apologized to Anne Curtis and her family, saying no woman should be subjected to talks in that way. While she acknowledged that saying sorry may not be enough, she still wanted to express her sympathy and support for her to show her objection to her husband’s comments. She is distancing herself from Bong’s controversial comment.

Suntay’s wife emphasized that all women must be respected regardless of who they are, their family, or their background. This is a value she also strongly believes in.

At the end of her statement, she asked the public and the media to spare her and her children. She pleaded for respect for their boundaries.

She wrote, “I also make this appeal with all sincerity: please leave me and my children out of this. We are not public figures. My children are children. No mother should have to watch her children be targeted and harassed for something they had no part in. I humbly ask the public and the media to respect that boundary. Thank you.”
