Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes Reacts to Claims of Alleged 18 Ex-Marines

ANTONIO TRILLANES – The former Senator accused the Duterte camp of allegedly being behind the 18 supposed ex-marines who threw an accusation against him.

Amid the political issues in the Philippine government, a lawyer and 18 individuals who claimed that they are allegedly former marines who supposed served former House Budget Appropriations Committee chairman Zaldy Co made claims that gathered different reactions. The alleged former marines claimed that they supposedly made cash deliveries to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The claims of the 18 alleged ex-marines followed the testimony of Orly Guteza, an alleged former marine who also claimed that he is supposedly a former staff of Co. Orly Guteza made the testimony during the Senate flood control hearing as he was the surprise witness of Senator Rodante Marcoleta.

Guteza tagged several individuals in the flood control mess including presidential cousin and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez. With regards to the accusations of the 18 alleged former marines, they also claimed that former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV allegedly gave the International Criminal Court (ICC) money.

Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV is a staunch critic and enemy of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte who is currently detained under the custody of the ICC. Thus, the claim of the alleged 18 ex-marines boosted the speculations that Trillanes might have allegedly something to do with the arrest and the transfer of the custody of the former President to the foreign court.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was arrested by the Philippine authorities who extended their assistance to the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) last March 11. Amid his ICC detention, the foreign court denied the appeal of the former President for an interim release.

Recently, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV reacted to the claims of the alleged 18 ex-marines against him. Based on News5, the former Senator accused the Duterte camp of allegedly masterminding it.

Amid the issue, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte emphasized the supposed silence of the concerned groups over the claims of the 18 people who are allegedly former marines.
