Barbie Forteza Receives “Situationships” Advice From Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo

Barbie Forteza and Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo talked about relationships

Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza learned this “situationship” advice from veteran actress Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo.

Barbie was in a long-term relationship with actor Jak Roberto. They were together for seven years, and many fans anticipated that they would end up together as a married couple. However, early last year, the actress confirmed her breakup with Jak, but maintained that there was no issue between them.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Barbie learned something about the love life of Boots, who officially became Boots Anson-Roa in June 1964. She was 19 years old at that time.

Then, Barbie Forteza mentioned the “situationship” setup. This has been common among the younger generation who are getting intimate but have no label between them.

“Naku, Ms. Boots! Ngayon, nauuso yung mga hindi pa sure, yung mga situationship. Ay nako talaga. Wooo! At least noon, ‘I’m sure, let’s go, tanan na tayo?’ Ngayon, anong petsa na?” she shared.

The younger actress asked the veteran actress about love and relationships. “Ano po yung type of guy na deserve ko?” Barbie asked.

Boots said that having a “dream boy” would always be there for many girls. Then, she mentioned her celebrity crush, Hollywood actor Richard Gere. She added that in the minds of many women, they have that certain ideal person whom they want to end up with.

However, the veteran actress said that sometimes, finding the right person is not what matters. “Because I don’t think there is such a thing as an ideal person. I don’t think there is such a thing as being the perfectly right person for me or for you,” she said.

Boots added that it is a good thing when a person finds that ideal someone in their lives. “But what is also important is that we be the right person. Na huwag nating kalimutan to help ourselves to be the right person,” she stressed.

Pag halimbawa, nakatuon talaga yung pansin mo doon sa ideal person na ‘Kailangan ito na prized catch,’ sabi nga. There’s no such thing,” Boots said, adding that if you see one little flaw, it would be a big deal since you already thought of that person as perfect.

Barbie Forteza also opened up about what she learned when it comes to love and relationships. For her, one should not settle for less and be aware when it comes to showing kindness.

The Kapuso actress also stressed that if it is not working, the problem should be addressed right away, so that the issues will not pile up. Then, Barbie admitted her shortcomings as a partner in the past. She said that right now, she has matured.

I’d like to believe na parang in-acknowledge ko na rin na ang red flag ko naman as a partner is that, uhm, medyo may problema ako sa communication,” the actress shared, adding that she should have communicated her feelings well.

Barbie also shared that she is not the type of person who would openly talk about a problem. She is not confrontational, and she did not want to be a nag.
