Netizen Questions Long Bank Waiting Time for 3-Minute Transaction

Netizen Vents Frustration Over Long Bank Waiting Time in the Country

A netizen recently shared his frustration over the long waiting time at a bank, even though his transaction took only a few minutes to complete.

Recently, a Threads user named as unclechest posted about his experience at a BPI branch. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited reactions from the online community.

He said he arrived at the bank around 3:15 in the afternoon and waited patiently for his number to be called.

However, he was only assisted at 5:10 p.m., almost two hours later. What surprised him even more was that his transaction lasted just three minutes and 29 seconds.

Because of this, he began to wonder why customers have to wait so long for services that are finished in less than five minutes. His post quickly gained attention online, with many people sharing similar experiences.

Some said they also waited for hours for simple tasks such as deposits, withdrawals, or account updates.

Others pointed out that banks often deal with a high number of clients every day, especially during peak hours. Limited staff, detailed verification processes, and different types of transactions can also slow down the flow of service.

While some customers understand these challenges, many still feel that waiting for nearly two hours for a short transaction is too much.

For many working individuals, time is valuable. Long waiting hours can be tiring, especially for tasks that only take a few minutes to complete.
