Kim Chiu talked about sharing the same frame with Paulo Avelino
Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu shared that she feels secure working with actor Paulo Avelino.
Kim and Paulo, now known as the KimPau tandem, are currently promoting their new series, The Alibi. A media conference was recently held for this.
As the cast members of the new series were introduced, reporters from different news entities were able to ask them questions about the project, and even some personal questions.
During the interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Kim Chiu was asked about working with Paulo Avelino in their fourth project together.
She is thankful that the people she worked with were very respectful. “Lahat naman ng taong nakakasalamuha ko ay may respeto sa akin so I feel protected,” the actress said.
Then, the actress aid that she said that she feels secure with her current onscreen partner. “I think so. Also, there’s a sense of growth in terms of the roles that we’re doing and we’re very thankful to ABS (CBN), to Dreamscape, because they’ve been giving us different teleseryes which tackle different types of roles. And pagka eksena ko si Pau, I also feel like I’m growing as an actor,” Kim said.
When Paulo was asked if it was his instinct to be protective of his co-star, he said that he had worked with Kim for so long, and as much as possible, he would try to protect her, and this was not just limited to the physical aspect. “Even as well in terms of knowing, di ba? The more you know kasi the more you are protected from a lot of stuff,” he said.
Paulo Avelino added that he would share with Kim Chiu what he knows about a certain field. “Like online scams, ‘di ba parang when you’re with knowledge, knowledgeable about that thing, you share the knowledge and parang at the same time she is protected because she’s knowledgeable about online scams even more,” he cited.
Meanwhile, during the said media conference, Kim admitted that the flowers she received on Valentine’s Day were from Paulo, and the actor also confirmed this. However, they both refused to confirm the real score between them. Because of that, Paulo was compared to Jericho Rosales, who openly talked about his romantic connection with Janine Gutierrez during a media conference for their first series together.
