Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli reopened their restaurant.
Married couple Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli have led the reopening of their newly repaired restaurant.
Previously, the restaurant owned by the family of actor Matteo Guidicelli was accidentally hit. A 72-year-old woman accidentally rammed the al fresco area of the restaurant, and while huge damage was left from the incident, the actor remained grateful that no one was badly hurt.
He declined to disclose the driver’s identity out of respect for her and her family’s privacy. He described her as an “innocent lady” who immediately took responsibility, adding that accidents can happen to anyone.
The two staff members who were in the pizza oven area of Da Gianni at the time were immediately taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. Since the damage was confined to the restaurant’s exterior, Da Gianni remains open for indoor dining, although its al fresco area has been temporarily closed.
Matteo chose not to press charges, as the driver immediately admitted her fault. He took the incident as a reminder to be careful, be ready, and always be aware. Despite what happened, he dealt with everything positively and peacefully.
“Wala, wala. Nag-admit naman na kasalanan ni madam. Pag-uusapan na lang with the insurance or whatsoever,” the actor explained.
This Saturday, just in time for Valentine’s Day and just as planned, they reopened their newly repaired restaurant. Matteo and Sarah Geronimo led the event and blessing of the Da Gianni restaurant.
“We started our morning with a 9AM Mass to celebrate love, give thanks for the recovery and blessings of @dagiannimanila ALABANG WESTGATE and pray for safety and protection. Love is gratitude. Love is faith. Love is showing up. Happy Valentine’s Day. Keep loving. Keep caring.”
