Chaos at Matteo Guidicelli’s Italian Restaurant After Vehicle Slams Into Al Fresco Area
MATTEO GUIDICELLI – A peaceful Sunday quickly turned alarming after a vehicle crashed into Matteo Guidicelli’s restaurant in Alabang.
A vehicle crashed into the al fresco area of Da Gianni Cucina Italiana–Westgate Molito, the restaurant owned by actor, TV host, and entrepreneur Matteo Guidicelli, on Sunday, February 8.
The unexpected incident damaged the outdoor dining area of the establishment. In an Instagram post, Matteo shared details about what happened and reassured the public about the safety of everyone present. According to him, it was fortunate that no guests were hurt because all customers had already left the restaurant at around 1:30 in the afternoon. As a result, no diners were in the affected area when the accident occurred.
However, two staff members were still inside the establishment, specifically near the pizza oven area. They were immediately brought to the hospital for medical check-ups following the incident. Matteo clarified that the employees did not sustain any serious injuries and are currently being cared for.
The actor also explained that the damage was limited to the exterior portion of the restaurant. While the al fresco section has been temporarily closed to ensure everyone’s safety and to allow for necessary repairs, the indoor dining area remains open and continues to operate as usual.
In his message, Matteo reminded the public to remain vigilant at all times.
“This serves as a reminder to all of us! No matter where you are, always stay alert. ‘Watch your six!’ Awareness and prevention are essential. You never know what situation you might find yourself in, so be careful, be ready, and always be aware,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to God for keeping his team safe during the incident.
“Above all, we thank the Lord. He truly kept my team safe today. By His grace, we are protected, healthy, and able to move forward. To God be the glory,” he said.
Matteo concluded his statement by thanking those who offered prayers and concern, while encouraging everyone to stay cautious and safe. He did not disclose whether he plans to hold the driver accountable or what caused the vehicle to crash into his restaurant.
