TV host and actress Gee Canlas marked a personal milestone previously with a deeply personal post about rebirth. However, her words sparked speculations about her relationship with her husband, Archie Alemania.
It seems she has confirmed her separation from her husband, declaring that she is a solo parent. She also marked her day with an outdoor photoshoot where she flaunted her fit physique, which, at the same time, was something that was freeing for her.
In the caption, she opened up about how rough the past year has been for her. She did not delve further into the specific details, as she believes that some things are meant to be processed alone.
She lost parts of herself, held on to something she should have let go, and learned what it cost when she chose to show up while quietly disappearing. She wrote, “I’m choosing to love myself with the same consistency and effort I give others, and I’m no longer making myself smaller for anyone.”
Gee expressed that she wants to be more present and engaged in her life physically, emotionally, and mentally. This is the way she knows that she can be entirely herself as a daughter, a sister, a friend, a woman, and a solo parent.
Canlas added that although she is still healing, she is excited about rediscovering parts of herself that were never truly gone.
Meanwhile, last year, Alemania was found guilty of acts of lasciviousness in the complaint filed by actress Rita Daniela. The complaint was lodged in 2024, stating that the actor had violated the actress by kissing and touching her without consent after a work gathering.
