Archie Alemania Convicted in Rita Daniela’s Acts of Lasciviousness Case
RITA DANIELA – Justice has finally been served as the court ruled in favor of actress Rita Daniela, finding actor Archie Alemania guilty of acts of lasciviousness.
Actor Archie Alemania has been found guilty of acts of lasciviousness in a complaint filed by actress Rita Daniela, following an incident that occurred in 2024. The decision was handed down by a Bacoor court, which ruled in favor of Daniela after a thorough review of the case.
According to the court’s ruling, Alemania was sentenced to a maximum of one year in jail and ordered to pay ₱20,000 in civil indemnity and an additional ₱20,000 in moral damages to the complainant. The judgment marks a significant legal victory for Daniela, who had come forward to seek justice for what she described as an act that left her feeling “disrespected and violated.”

“Of course, we are very happy with the decision. Rita fought and she attained justice,” said Daniela’s lawyer, Maggie Abraham-Garduque, in a statement following the verdict.
The two actors had previously worked together on a television series, during which they developed a professional rapport. However, the relationship reportedly soured after an alleged incident that occurred while they were on their way home from a gathering.
In her complaint, Daniela accused Alemania of sexually violating her and making repeated inappropriate remarks during that ride. She later shared a screenshot of a message exchange with the actor, where she expressed how disrespected she felt by his actions. In response, Alemania could be seen apologizing and claiming that he was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

The court’s decision is being viewed as an important moment for women in the entertainment industry who face similar situations but often hesitate to come forward. Supporters of the actress praised her courage in pursuing the case despite the challenges of speaking up against a fellow celebrity.
As of now, Alemania’s camp has not issued a public statement on whether they plan to appeal the verdict. Meanwhile, Rita Daniela and her legal team expressed gratitude for the ruling, calling it a step toward accountability and justice.
