Customer Upset Over Small Amount of Coffee in No-Ice Iced DrinkĀ

Male Customer Disappointed Over Small Amount of Coffee in No-Ice Iced Coffee

The male customer felt disappointed after noticing that there was very little coffee in his iced drink since he requested it with no ice.

Recently, Randy Garcia, a Facebook user, shared his experience after ordering an iced coffee without ice at a coffee shop. His post quickly went viral and received mixed reactions from the online community.

Garcia shared that he and his group ordered seven iced coffees from a coffee shop around early afternoon. For his own drink, he requested an iced coffee without ice, a preference he said he often chooses at other cafes.

When the drinks were served, he was surprised to see that his cup contained only a small amount of coffee, far from what he expected, especially since he had paid extra to upgrade to a larger size.

Randy understood that removing ice would naturally leave more space in the cup. However, he felt that the amount served was too little for the price he paid. Wanting clarity, he asked the staff if the drink was correct and was told that it was prepared that way because it was ordered without ice.

The customer explained that his concern was not about wanting ice added, but about getting fair value for his money. From his point of view, the experience made it seem like customers were mostly paying for ice rather than coffee.

The situation became more frustrating when he felt that the supervisor who spoke to him responded in an unfriendly manner and quickly ended the conversation.

Some netizens agreed with him, saying coffee shops should adjust the amount of liquid when ice is removed. Others pointed out that many cafes follow fixed measurements and standard procedures, regardless of special requests.

ā€œJust want to share my experience kanina.

We ordered 7 iced coffees from PICKUP COFFEE around 1 PM. I requested mine with no ice, which I usually do in other coffee shops. When the drinks were served, I was surprised because mine had very little coffee. I understand that a no-ice drink won’t be full, but this was too little, especially since I upgraded to a larger size.

I asked if that was really my drink, and they said yes because it was ordered no ice. I told them I was aware of that, but it didn’t feel fair for the price, considering the upgrade. They explained that they were just following their process, but the supervisor I spoke with came off as rude and said, ā€œGusto mo lagyan ko na lang ng ice?ā€

I said no. My concern wasn’t about adding ice, but about value for money. If this is really the standard, then it feels like what we’re paying for is mostly ice, not coffee. After that, they just turned away and ended the conversation.ā€ Ā
