Angelu de Leon was asked about the supposed issue between her and Claudine Barretto
Actress-politician Angelu de Leon said that she is willing to apologize to Optimum Star Claudine Barretto.
To recall, two years ago, showbiz fans were surprised when Claudine said that she did not want to work with Angelu. The Optimum Star claimed that it did not sit well with her when the actress-politician commented about her personal life.
However, Claudine stressed that she simply did not want to work with Angelu, and it did not mean that there was anger on her part.
Angelu de Leon had already expressed her hope to reconcile with Claudine Barretto. The former once again said in a recent interview that she is open to reconciling with the latter.
Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, during the media conference for the new Kapuso series Never Say Die, Angelu was asked about her supposed issue with Claudine.
Angelu said that she was trying to figure out where the “conflict” started. On the other hand, the actress-politician said that if ever she met Claudine, for whatever circumstances, she would just let bygones be bygones.
Since she has no bitterness, hate, or dislike towards Claudine, Angelu shared that she is just waiting for the chance that she and Claudine would meet. The Kapuso actress said that there would be no problem for her, and she hoped that it would be the same with Claudine.
Angelu also said that she understands Claudine. “Yes, naiintindihan ko lang siya base dun sa mga nababalitaan ko. Pero hindi ako pwedeng magsabi ng naiintindihan ko siya, personally. Kasi, at the end of the day, I will be honest, hindi pa naman kami talaga nakakapag-usap,” she said.
Angelu de Leon also shared that she and Claudine Barretto became really close when they were working together in AngTV, but after that, they went their separate ways in their showbiz careers.
Even though there was a “so-called rivalry” between them, Angelu did not believe that this was Claudine’s reason. If the time came when their paths would meet, she said that she was willing to apologize to the Optimum Star.
“I acknowÂledge kung meron nga akong nagawa, kung meron akong dapat ihingi ng sorry. Wala akong problema. I would gladly give my apology if need so. Pero siguro rin, kailangan sa tamang panahon, tamang pagtakataon rin, hindi forced, hindi ‘yung dahil may media. Sana ‘yung setting is a more sincere setting,” the actress-politician said.
