Actor and TV host Edward Barber is embarking on a new journey.
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and actor, Edward Barber, is now on a new personal and spiritual journey.
For a time, former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and TV host Edward Barber has officially began his journey to become a pastor for a local Christian church. This has set one of his spiritual goals in motion. This new journey in his life combines his public life with his own personal walk of faith.
Over the weekend, Favor Church honored the ordination of its new pastors and pastors in training during its annual Leaders Advance. Barber was among those who were honored. A series of photos from the event showed the leaders of Favor Church laying hands on him in prayer, symbolizing his commissioning for the spiritual mission ahead.
“Last Saturday, during our Leaders Advance, we honored those answering the call of ministry. We celebrate their yes to Jesus and their commitment to serve. Keep them in your prayers as they step into this new season!” Favor Church posted on Instagram.
He is now a pastor in training, and its reminiscent of his own thoughts about faith and purpose.
Meanwhile, Edward gained national fame in 2016 as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7. He then became a part of the love team MayWard with Maymay Entrata. He then starred in several projects like Loving in Tandem (2017), Seven Sundays (2017), and Princess DayaReese (2021).
Despite his career in the entertainment industry, Barber has been candid about his increasing involvement in church ministry. He currently hosts a faith-based podcast titled The Painfully Human.
According to Edward, this spiritual calling sparked during a low point in his life and career. It was the moment when he had projects and the money, but still feel empty.
