Message of Pope Leo XIV amid the Ongoing Middle East War
POPE LEO XIV – The Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church called for a “ceasefire” amid the war between the United States, Israel, and Iran in the Middle East.
Several people including the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, died due to the ongoing war among the U.S., Israel, and Iran. Previously, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump claimed that the war will be ended soon but Iran said that negotiations with U.S. is no longer part of its agenda.

Iran also said it does not see any reason to talk with U.S. According to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, they were talking with the American when U.S. decided to attack them. The Iranian government vowed to avenge the death of their Supreme Leader, their government officials, and many civilians.
Iran said they will make U.S. regret for the “grave miscalculation” with the soaring oil costs in the country. Amid the warn of Trump that they might be attack much harder if they will disrupt the global oil flow, an Iranian official said the world must prepare for oil to hit $200 per barrel.

Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, Pope Leo XIV expressed a strong appeal for peace as he called for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East amid the war among the United States, Israel, and Iran. The Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church made the call after the Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square.

Pope Leo XIV called the US-Israel-Iran war as an “atrocious violence”. He urged the national leaders of the countries involved to reopen the paths of dialogue. The message of the Supreme Pontiff was not only for Christians but all people of goodwill.
The Pope stressed that violence cannot bring stability, justice, or lasting peace. Based on a post of News5, Pope Leo XIV appealed for ceasefire among the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
“In the name of the Christians of the Middle East and of all women and men of goodwill, I appeal to those responsible for this conflict: Cease fire! Let the paths of dialogue be reopened,” the Pope said based on the post.

Amid the war and the deaths of many civilian, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump justified the attack against Iran as allegedly in the pursuit to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear power and supposedly destroying the world.
