Rita Daniela was asked about Ken Chan
Kapuso singer-actress Rita Daniela revealed that she is no longer friends with actor Ken Chan.
Rita and Ken became onscreen partners when they worked together in the series My Special Tatay. This was followed by the series One of the Bae, and Ang Dalawang Ikaw.
Many fans supported their onscreen partnership, but this came to an end eventually. In June 2022, it was revealed that Rita was pregnant. She did not reveal the identity of the father of her child, and this garnered speculation that the father was Ken.
However, it was clarified that Ken Chan was not the father of her baby. In past interviews, Ken and Rita shared that they fell in love with each other, but this did not reach the point of having commitment. The actress even shared that the actor turned her down.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Abant TNT, Rita said she and Ken are no longer friends. “No, I don’t. We’re not friends anymore,” the Kapuso singer-actress said.
Rita also shared that she and Ken almost became business partners. “Not yet, but I was about to. We were actually going to be business partners,” she shared.
Ken became inactive in showbiz following reports that there was an arrest warrant against him for allegedly committing syndicated estafa. Rita said that it is known to many showbiz fans that, more than the business issues, she and Ken also had other issues.
“Hindi lang naman dahil sa business din. Kasi I’m sure you’re all aware na nagkaroon din naman talaga kami ng personal… hindi ko naman ikinakaila na talagang na-inlove ko sa kanya. But siyempre, past is past,” she said.
Rita Daniela added that Ken Chan was her best friend and was a very special person to her. However, she is hoping that he and his family will be okay.
