ABS-CBN Superstar Vice Ganda gifts child star Lucas Andalio an expensive gift following the blockbuster success of “Call Me Mother.”
“Call Me Mother” is an official entry of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025. This movie has earned box office and critical success. It marked the second collaboration of Vice Ganda and director Jun Lana after “And the Breadwinner Is…” from last year’s film festival.
This film features Nadine Lustre, Lucas Andalio, Esnyr, John Lapus, Klarisse de Guzman, Mika Salamanca, Brent Manalo, River Joseph, and Shuvee Etrata. This is also the same film that gave Vice her first Best Actor award from the MMFF.
For years, this award has been elusive to her.
Apart from the blockbuster success of the MMFF 2025’s top-grossing film, the stars were also able to build a close relationship, almost like a family. One of the stars Vice loved the most, whom she treated like her own child, was Lucas Andalio. The child star played the role of Angelo de Guzman, the young son at the center of a heartwarming story about a queer single mother (Vice) and his biological mother (Nadine).
This close relationship translated into real life, and to show her love and appreciation for the child star, the Unkabogable Star gifted him something significant and expensive. In a reel uploaded by make-up artist Jelly Eugenio, Lucas visited his “Mama Twinkle,” and while perched on the make-up chair, Vice asked Lucas to open the gift she prepared for him.
From inside the box was a backpack adorned with Dior’s iconic Oblique pattern. Thrilled, Lucas immediately tried it on. The two leads then shared a warm embrace before posing for photos and making their way to the blue carpet.
Reportedly, the bag costs PHP 170,000.00, and there’s definitely no stopping Lucas from wearing the designer bag to school or anywhere he would like.
Meanwhile, Lucas also bagged the Best Child Performer award in his MMFF debut.
