A writer urged Vice Ganda to run for president
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda admitted in past interviews that there had been offers for him to enter politics, but he stressed that this kind of duty is not for him.
Vice is one of the showbiz personalities who openly shared his opinions about social issues and politics. He is not afraid to criticize certain political figures, using his humor.
Even though there were several times when he stressed that being a public servant is not for him, his supporters still think that he will do a good job as a government official.
Just recently, Palanca award-winning writer Jerry Gracio urged Vice Ganda to run for president in 2028, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon.
In Gracio’s social media post, he stressed that he is serious in urging the Unkabogable Star to run for the highest political position in the country.
The write also highlighted his reaso for this. “Hindi siya corrupt, nakatapak ang paa niya sa lupa, alam niya ang likaw ng bituka ng masa dahil masa siya, hindi bahagi ng politikal na dinastiya, hindi politiko, hindi elite, hindi nakahulma sa lahat ng tradisyonal na politika na alam natin,” Gracio shared.
Then, Gracio shared that he already messaged Vice about this, and the latter’s reply was, “Hindi pa ako sapat.”
With this, the writer said that he was convinced that Vice can be the president of the Philippines, but he just admitted that he is not yet enough. For Gracio, this meant that Vice was thinking that he should not be alone in uplifting the country.
“Dapat ibinibigay ang kapangyarihan sa mga hindi interesado sa kapangyarihan. Gusto ninyo ng out of the box? Si Vice,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, back in September last year, award-winning director Lav Diaz openly expressed that he wanted Vice Ganda to run for president. He also said that he was serious about this. Direk Lav specifically mentioned that the “Sara Duterte wall” should be destroyed, and for him, Vice can do this.
