This On-Set Attitude Is a Major Turn-Off for Marian Rivera
MARIAN RIVERA – Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera’s honest remarks about on-set discipline quickly became a talking point after she explained why one habit deeply bothers her.
Marian Rivera once again became a hot topic after frankly discussing the work habit she dislikes the most, especially when it comes to colleagues who do not value punctuality on set.
During a recent episode of “Janno & Bing,” Marian spoke openly about professionalism and the principles she strongly upholds in the entertainment industry. She shared that both her former and current coworkers are fully aware of the one behavior she finds unacceptable.

“Alam ng lahat ng katrabaho ko kung ano ‘yong ayaw ko talaga,” said Marian. “Parang kaya kong mag-adjust kung hindi mo kayang magbigay na actor; na gusto mo ikaw lagi ang bida, that’s fine with me.”
The actress made it clear that she is usually flexible and forgiving when it comes to artistic differences or even moments when an actor is unprepared. As long as everyone fulfills their responsibilities, she said she has no problem adjusting.
“Hindi mo alam ‘yong lines mo, okay lang sa akin ‘yon. Bahala ka. Basta ginagawa mo ‘yong work mo, gagawin ko ‘yong work ko. That’s fine with me. Isa lang ang ayaw kong ginagawa, always late,” she added.
Marian explained that her strong stance on punctuality comes from her empathy for the production crew working behind the scenes. She expressed concern for crew members who report to work early and leave late to ensure everything runs smoothly. For her, tardiness goes beyond personal inconvenience and reflects a lack of respect for the entire team.

Her comments prompted a visible reaction from singer-actor Janno Gibbs, one of the show’s hosts, who audibly groaned during the discussion. Janno is well known in the industry for his reputation of frequently arriving late, which made the exchange both amusing and slightly awkward.
Taking the moment lightly, Marian jokingly remarked, “Buti na lang talaga hindi pa tayo nagkakatrabaho.”
Despite the humor, Marian’s point remained firm: professionalism and punctuality are non-negotiable values for her. Through her candid remarks, she shed light on the sacrifices of crew members that often go unnoticed and underscored how being on time is a simple yet meaningful way to show respect in any work environment.
