The video showed a group of people standing on the road while assisting a woman who had been struck by a motorcycle moment earlier.
The woman was crossing the bridge when the motorcycle hit her, prompting nearby motorists and residents to immediately stop and offer help. They gathered around her to make sure she was safe and to check her condition.
While the group was focused on helping the injured woman, a taxi suddenly came speeding toward them. Without slowing down, the vehicle plowed into the people on the road. The impact was strong enough to knock two men to the ground.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene. The two men hit by the taxi and the woman injured in the earlier motorcycle accident were immediately taken to the hospital. Medical personnel later confirmed that all of them were in stable condition and were not in danger, bringing some relief to their families and the community.
The taxi driver did not see the people on the road because the area was dark and had limited visibility, according to the investigation by the Oton municipal police.
Authorities said that poor lighting on the bridge played a major role in the incident, especially with vehicles passing through at high speed. After discussions facilitated by the police, both sides were able to reach an agreement.
