Chavit Singson challenges the President to a debate
Businessman Chavit Singson said that he plans to debate with President Bongbong Marcos and Congressman Martin Romualdez over the anomalous flood control projects.
Chavit has been present in the political arena for many years already. Even though he is not currently holding any position in the government, he is still very involved in the political scene in the Philippines.
To recall, last year, he joined the anti-corruption rally on September 21, 2025. However, he received “boo” reactions from other rallyists. At that time, he urged the public to shout for the President’s removal. The administration condemned what he did and stated that it was a “seditious” remark.

Chavit Singson, in his reaction to what the Malacanang Palace stated, said that Palace press officer Claire Castro became like an attack dog.
In October last year, Singson once again called on Pres. Marcos to resign. He said that the chaos in the government right now started with PBBM. In a separate statement, the Ilocos kingpin said that it was the President who should feel “hiya” and not just the officials involved in the flood control issue.
However, Singson stressed that he is neither pro-Duterte nor pro-Marcos, as he stressed that he is “anti-corruption.” Just recently, based on the report from Manila Bulletin, the businessman once again had a fiery statement against the Chief Executive in the Philippines.

Chavit Singson wanted to go to the Malacanang Palace to challenge PBBM, as well as Cong. Romualdez for a debate over the flood control issue. “ASAP. Kung sinabi nila, pupunta ako sa Malacañang, kung in-accept nila [ang challenge],” the businessman said.
Meanwhile, Chavit Singson was recently called “delusional fool” by Miss Universe Organization (MUO) Raul Rocha after claiming the beauty pageant is set to be under his name.
In the previous month, the businessman expressed his willingness to buy the organization, and he even said that he is willing to lose money.
