Donnalyn Bartolome Says Farewell to Vlogs
DONNALYN BARTOLOME – In an emotional revelation, Donnalyn Bartolome opened up about choosing herself as she prepares to step away from vlogging.
Social media star and actress Donnalyn Bartolome recently shared a heartfelt revelation that surprised and deeply moved millions of her followers, as she disclosed her decision to walk away from her long-established vlogging career.
In a new upload on her YouTube channel titled “The Gift Reverse,” Donnalyn reflected on the question of what she could give herself to experience genuine happiness. The video served as an intimate and emotional moment for the creator, who has cultivated a huge audience through years of online content.
“I never really asked myself what would really make me happy. And even if I did, the answer to that would be making others happy. It’s still the same,” she said at the beginning of the vlog.
Donnalyn acknowledged that making the announcement was especially difficult, given that her channel has grown to more than 10 million subscribers. Speaking directly to her viewers, she shared the emotional message: “There’s no easy way to say this, especially to 10 million of you, but I’m saying goodbye to vlogging.”
She described the move as something she is doing for herself, emphasizing its personal importance by saying, “That is my gift to myself.”
The actress also opened up about the challenges of being fully transparent online, explaining that not every part of her life can be shared publicly. This limitation, she said, has made it hard for her to feel completely authentic on camera. “There are so many things about me that I can’t share to all of you and because of that I can’t be my authentic self. Bits and pieces of me are scattered. You can’t paint the full picture with it,” she explained.
Even as she steps away from vlogging, Donnalyn expressed heartfelt appreciation for the people who supported her throughout her journey. “I wanna thank all of you. Because of your support I was able to help provide for my family, my loved ones, and other people. I was able to share opportunities with everyone around me because of you,” she said.
She also reflected on her personal growth, acknowledging both her mistakes and achievements. “Thank you for your forgiveness for the time I slipped and thank you for remembering and celebrating me for the things I did right,” she added.
Before fully saying goodbye, Donnalyn announced that she will still upload 10 final videos on her channel. She invited her audience to take part in deciding the themes and guests for these last vlogs. “So I offer you the last 10 vlogs. The last 10 and you get to choose who or which personality you want to see on the channel and what we’ll do,” she said.
Her announcement signals the close of a significant chapter for longtime followers who have supported her online journey through the years.
