Netizens Warn Vinz Jimenez of Possible Legal Trouble Over Posted Private Conversations
Some netizens said that Vinz Jimenez could possibly be jailed for posting screenshots of private conversations with his cheating girlfriend.
Recently, Facebook content creator Mommy Micai Grace shared the possible cases that Vinz Jimenez may face for releasing screenshots of the conversation. Her post quickly went viral and drew various reactions online.
According to online discussions, one possible issue involves the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Netizens pointed out that private conversations often contain personal information. Posting screenshots without the consent of the other person may be considered unauthorized sharing, even if the messages are real and unedited.

Many people were surprised to learn that even simple screenshots can fall under this law.
Another concern raised was cyber libel under the Cybercrime Prevention Act. Some netizens explained that if the shared content damages a person’s reputation or appears to shame them publicly, it may be considered libelous.
It can apply even when the conversation actually happened, especially if it was posted online with harmful intent.

“Vinz Jimenez, posibleng makulong dahil sa paglabag sa Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), Cyber Libel (RA 10175 – Cybercrime Prevention Act), at Unjust Vexation or Harassment.’
Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173)
Cyber Libel (RA 10175 – Cybercrime Prevention Act)
Unjust Vexation or Harassment
