Oil Price Rollback to Take Effect Ahead of Christmas Day

Oil Price Rollback Expected on Tuesday (December 23, 2025)

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Gasoline stations in the country are set to implement an oil price rollback ahead of Christmas day.

Motorists may receive some welcome relief this Christmas week as fuel prices are expected to go down across the country. Early market data shows a steady downward trend in global oil prices, which could lead to lower pump prices by Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Based on recent trading movements, diesel, gasoline, and kerosene are all projected to see price rollback. Diesel prices may go down by more than P1.00 per liter, while gasoline is expected to drop by around P0.60 to over P1.00 per liter.

Kerosene could also see a rollback of more than P1.00 per liter. Final figures will still depend on the remaining trading days, but the overall direction remains favorable for consumers.

Several global factors are helping push prices lower. Oil supply in the world market has become more stable as refineries return to normal operations after maintenance work. This has eased earlier concerns about tight supply.

At the same time, fuel demand has softened, especially during the winter season, when travel and fuel use tend to slow down in many countries.

If tensions ease, more oil supply could eventually return to the global market, further helping stabilize prices. In addition, expectations of increased fuel exports from China are adding to the sense that supply will remain sufficient in the coming weeks.

The Department of Energy has also noted that the market is currently experiencing strong supply and weaker demand, which continues to pull prices down despite occasional global tensions.

Officials reminded the public that fuel price adjustments are based on international benchmarks and foreign exchange movements.

Oil companies usually announce official price changes every Monday, with new prices taking effect the next day. If current trends continue, motorists can look forward to a lighter fuel bill during Christmas week, making holiday travel a little easier and more affordable.
