Mimiyuuuh Steps Into Solo Living and Finds Strength in Independence
MIMIYUUUH – Content creator Mimiyuuuh is stepping into a new era of independence as she fully settles into her first-ever solo home in Makati.
Mimiyuuuh is embracing a brand-new chapter in her life as she officially begins living independently in her recently purchased condominium unit in Makati. In her latest YouTube vlog, the popular content creator opened up about the excitement and lessons that come with setting up her own home for the very first time.
Thrilled to finally decorate a space that truly reflects her personality, Mimiyuuuh shared that she has been carefully choosing furniture pieces she genuinely treasures. “I’m gonna get new furniture. So excited about the new furniture actually kasi ‘yung mga pieces na mga nabili ko are something that I really love… so parang mga chairs na po ‘yun I feel like they can make my home homier and gusto ko po kasi sa mga bagay na nasa bahay ko, they are representing me as a person,” she said.
To make her condo feel even more personal, she also brought along sentimental items from her family home, including her own artwork and her favorite living room table. She revealed she has already begun sleeping in her new place. “Bumili na rin po ako ng bed ko so dito na rin po talaga ako natutulog… I love sleeping here especially ‘pag gising ko, nakikita ko na ‘yung view from outside,” she added.
Rather than hiring an interior designer, the 29-year-old chose to decorate the space on her own. She emphasized wanting her home to feel intimate and true to who she is. “Actually hindi na rin po ako nag-hire ng interior designer… gusto ko po kasing maging personal everything about this house so I did everything on my own,” she explained.
Adjusting to independent living has also brought new realizations about adulthood. Mimiyuuuh noted how these responsibilities have pushed her to become more capable and confident. “Nakaka-adult ‘yung mga ganitong bagay… And I am just so grateful for these kinds of experiences kasi parang napapatapang niya ako,” she shared. Despite the challenges, she believes she is doing well. “I think I’m doing a great job living alone… Excited ako sa future adventures natin.”
Previously, Mimiyuuuh revealed she bought the condo as a birthday gift to herself an opportunity to explore life on her own terms. “So na-realize ko na bakit hindi ko i-try na mag-live alone, so I bought me a condo and yes, ako na po is a Salcedo girly,” she said, expressing excitement about her new environment.
Her choice of Makati was no accident, as she has come to love its convenience and walkability. She added that living alone would also help her get to know herself better, saying, “I am also exicted to know more about myself… you will know more about yourself when you are alone.”
