Cosmetic procedures are fairly common in Philippine showbiz, and recently, actress Max Collins admitted to undergoing this.
To look more pleasant and maintain a flawless and youthful look, cosmetic enhancements are common and normalised in the Philippine showbiz. However, this is rarely discussed. It’s a trend visible yet still wrapped in privacy.
This is something that is widely practised, ranging from non-invasive treatments to surgical procedures, but only a few openly acknowledge them. However, this is not the case for Kapuso actress Max Collins.
In an interview, she openly talked about doing this to bring back the figure she had worked hard to have before pregnancy. Max and Pancho Magno have a son together, named Skye Anakin. Though separated now, the two have settled into co-parenting.
To regain her figure and shed her post-partum weight, she turned to modern aesthetic procedures. She admitted that returning to her pre-pregnancy body was far from easy, which ultimately led her to undergo surgical treatments, including liposuction.
It didn’t bother her to reveal this publicly. If younger, she is sure she would be hesitant to admit this, but with her age and everything she went through, she doesn’t care anymore. Her honesty is also something she would want to inspire other women and set a realistic standard for them.
She shared, “And also I want to share to women that because sometimes when they think that it’s natural, ‘Oh your so blessed!’ I say, ‘No, I worked for it. I got all the help that I could get.’ And it’s okay for women to ask for help. Nobody’s perfect. It’s okay to admit that you’re flawed and that you need help.”
Recalling her liposuction experience, it was painless and easy. She was asleep when it was done to her, and when she woke up, her unwanted fats were gone. It took her two weeks to recover, and it wasn’t as hard as others thought it to be.
She stressed that achieving her body now wasn’t natural. She had help, and apart from 360 lipo, she also receives a slim reset shot weekly from Drip Therapy to curb her appetite. At the same time, she is doing all these help with a healthy diet and workout.
