Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Atty. Claire Castro during Interview
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President denied that Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro is her “best friend”.
Malacañang press officer undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro is undeniably one of the frontliners in defending President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his administration amid the many issues in the Philippine government now. She has gone viral several times for defending Marcos Jr.

There were also several instances when Atty. Claire Castro spoke and defended Marcos Jr. in an issue with the Vice President. It is no secret to the Filipino people that there is a deep rift between the Chief Executive and the Vice President now.
Previously, the press officer of Malacañang called Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as a “complete failure” as the secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd). The Vice President responded to her claim saying that Marcos Jr. even allegedly asked her to stay as the DepEd Chief.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos was allegedly “amoy alak” when she tendered her resignation from being the DepEd secretary. The Malacañang press officer immediately claimed that there is supposedly no truth to the claim of the Vice President against the Chief Executive.

Recently, during an interview with Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro was mentioned and tagged as the alleged “best friend” of the Vice President. Duterte immediately reacted to it.
Based on a post on social media, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte immediately denied that Atty. Claire Castro is her “best friend”. According to the Vice President, she allegedly has no best friend who thinks like the Palace press officer undersecretary.
“Uy, excuse me hindi ko best friend si Claire Castro. Wala akong best friend na ganyan mag-isip,” Duterte said.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte criticized the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI which was formed upon the order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos for the flood control investigation. Malacañang’s Atty. Claire Castro immediately hit back at the Vice President’s statement.
“Kaawa-awa ang mga taong parte ng gobyerno pero hindi nakakatulong sa gobyerno at sa bayan. Kaawa-awa ang taong naturingang public servant; puro haka-haka lang ang sinasabi para makapanira sa gobyerno,” Castro said.
Previously, the press officer of Malacañang also reacted to the call of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte on Pres. Bongbong Marcos to undergo a drug test. His sister, Senator Imee Marcos who is aligned with the Dutertes now, previously claimed that PBBM is allegedly into illegal drug use.
