Woman Shares Dedication of Her Hardworking Husband as Bike Delivery Rider
A woman expressed how proud she is of her husband, who works as a bike delivery rider to provide for their family’s needs.
Recently, Monica Aguilar Paquita, a Facebook user, shared a photo of her husband who has been working tirelessly for years to support their family despite the challenges they face. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions online.
Monica shared that her husband has been delivering food by bike for five years. Rain or shine, he pedals through long distances just to earn enough for their daily needs. Before becoming a delivery rider, he worked as a janitor, but his salary was barely enough for their family’s expenses.
The couple struggled with debts, especially with a child to feed, and often had to stretch what little they had.
Everything changed when she heard from relatives that food delivery riders could earn more. Even though they were hesitant at first, they decided to take the risk. With only a small amount of money left, they invested in the tools he needed for the job, including a phone on installment.
It was a gamble, but it turned out to be a blessing. Earnings improved, and they were finally able to buy what they needed at home.
However, work was not always easy. There were months when orders were slow, and income was just enough to survive. In 2023, after Monica’s mother passed away, they moved to Cavite. Her husband continued to work in Manila, commuting by bike every day for almost a year, an exhausting routine, but one he endured for his family.
Paquita explained that they still cannot afford a motorcycle because their priority is daily expenses, school needs, and milk for their child.
Despite the hardships, Monica remains grateful for her husband’s sacrifices and believes that one day, with faith and patience, they will overcome their struggles and eventually achieve their dream of buying a motorcycle for his work.
