Statement of Marcos Jr. on Sister Imee’s Claims He Allegedly Uses Illegal Drugs
MARCOS JR. – The President broke his silence on the illegal drug use accusations against him by his own sister, Senator Imee Marcos.
Countless Filipinos were surprised when presidential sister Sen. Imee Marcos publicly accused PBBM of allegedly using illegal drugs. The Senator made the statement at the rally organized by the members of Iglesia ni Cristo.

In front of thousands of INC members, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that their family is allegedly aware about the illegal drug use of her younger brother but, then, he was still not her responsibility. She also accused First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos of the same allegation.
Sen. Imee Marcos called on Marcos Jr. to return home and undergo treatment. According to her, she cannot afford to lose her brother in illegal drugs and she would rather see him losing the presidency. She assured that she is there to help him.

Marcos Jr. was mum after the illegal drug use accusations of Sen. Imee Marcos. It was the Palace which immediately defended the President recalling that he already tested negative in a drug test conducted prior to his presidential run.

Furthermore, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro also claimed that Sen. Imee Marcos allegedly wants Pres. Bongbong Marcos out for her so-called “Team Itim”. While the Palace official did not confirm if she’s referring to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, it was the Vice President that the Senator was with in the viral “ITIM” campaign.
Recently, Marcos Jr. broke his silence on the illegal drug use accusations of his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, against him. Based on a post of Inquirer on social media, the President claimed that the lady that the people see on television is allegedly not his sister and he hopes she’ll feel better soon.
”So, I’ll just say this much… For a while now, we’ve been very worried about my sister. When I say we, I’m talking about friends and family, and the reason that is is because the lady you see talking on TV is not my sister. That view is shared by our cousins, friends… hindi siya ‘yan,” the President said as per the post.
According to Marcos Jr., he does not intend to talk to his sister citing that they no longer travel in the same circles may it be in politics or not. He admitted that he does not want their “dirty linen” to be showcased in public.
Amid the issues that gathered countless reactions, Sen. Imee Marcos immediately responded to the statement of PBBM.
