Pasig Court Orders Cancellation of Passport of Harry Roque Amid his Application for Asylum in The Netherlands
HARRY ROQUE – The former presidential spokesman appealed to Filipinos prayers after a Pasig court ordered the cancellation of his passport.
After the custody of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was transferred to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands in March, his former spokesman, Atty. Roque, was once again seen in public. He was hiding for several months prior to it.

The House of Representatives previously ordered the arrest of Roque for the investigation of his alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. However, he hid for several months until his former boss was arrested and sent to The Hague.
Harry Roque even extended an offer to be part of the ICC legal team of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. However, according to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, he should focus in his application for asylum and they want lawyers who can really focus on the case of her father.

Despite not being part of the ICC legal team of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, his former spokesman is one of the people who is usually present outside the ICC detention facility to show their support to him. Harry Roque even recently claimed that they held vigils for the interim release of former Pres. Duterte.

Amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government, Harry Roque called on Pres. Bongbong Marcos to resign. According to him, the alleged corruption in the country is massive and Marcos Jr. allegedly has no capacity to lead the country.
An arrest warrant was previously issued against Roque. However, he was confident that he cannot be deported while he is an asylum seeker in The Netherlands. According to him, the process may take up to a year and a half.
Recently, a court in Pasig issued an order for the cancellation of the passport of Duterte’s former spokesman Harry Roque. Following the order, based on his post on social media, Roque is asking the Filipinos for prayers.
“I am a creature of prayer. Hindi naman po ‘ko tatagal na wala sa Pilipinas… kung hindi ako nananampalataya sa ating Panginoon. Pray for me. I need your prayers,” he expressed.

Based on the post, Roque intends to file a motion for reconsideration to appeal the decision of the court regarding the cancellation of his passport. Recently, Harry Roque spoke on why he will stand by Duterte even if charges against him will pile up.
