Carla Abellana Says She’s More Afraid Of Evil People Than Evil Spirits

Carla Abellana shared one of her fears

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana said in a recent interview that she is more afraid of evil people than evil spirits.

Carla is part of the horror film Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins, which is one of the official entries of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025. This film is a break from her usual drama series.

For many years, Carla has been one of the most prominent drama actresses of the Kapuso network. She is loved for her different roles in teleseryes, and she is commended for giving justice to characters given to her.

In a recent media conference for her upcoming horror film, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Carla shared that more than evil spirits, she has a greater fear of evil people. In her episode 1775 in the horror film, she had a chance to work with Arlene Muhlach, Loisa Andalio, Ysabel Ortega, Ashley Ortega, and Janice de Belen. This is directed by Shugo Praico and written by Noreen Capili.

“Mas takot ako sa tao, evil na mga tao kasi ang dami po nila sa paligid, saka ‘di po sila nakukuha sa dasal. Medyo mahaba po ang buhay. Parang masasamang damo. Kung sino pa ‘yung mababait, sila pa ang nauuna,” The Kapuso actress said.

Then, she mirrored what most people believe, that one should be more afraid of people than ghosts. Carla Abellana said that it is because real people have the capacity to really hurt another person.

“Either way evil entity ‘yan or human being, ang katapat po ay pananampalataya. Diyos na po ang bahala sa kanila and thankfully naman. Honestly, evil is everywhere,” she emphasized.

The actress highlighted people with no sense of integrity who do not cling to morality, those corrupt people who would steal. She is thankful that she was able to stay away from these kinds of people, and for her, it is because of divine protection.

“Sa totoo lang po, sa dami ng nangyayari ngayon sa mundo, sa mga taong walang integrity, sa mga magnanakaw, sa mga korap, napakarami pong entities around us, thankfully, personally po wala naman po (bumiktima) sa akin at mayroon tayong Lord kaya meron tayong armas,” Carla Abellana said.
