On Wednesday (November 19, 2025), a 15-year-old student from Fort San Pedro National High School in Iloilo City caused alarm after sending a bomb threat to their own school. The threat quickly spread among students, leading teachers to report the matter to the authorities.
Fortunately, after a thorough check by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, the school was confirmed safe and free from any real danger.

Later that afternoon, the student’s grandmother brought the teenager to the police station, where officers from the Women’s and Children Protection Desk interviewed the minor. After the questioning, the student was turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office and placed under the care of a guardian while the case is being processed.
The student explained that the message was only intended for their school and was not meant to threaten anyone outside. However, the police continue to gather evidence and study the situation to determine the appropriate legal steps.
