Lady Netizen Expresses Dismay Over P34,000 Partial Hospital Bill
A lady netizen expressed her frustration online after receiving a partial hospital bill amounting to more than P34,000 for only two days of confinement.
Recently, Krystelle De Los Reyes, a Facebook user, shared a photo of the hospital bill showing that their charges reached more than P34,000 in just two days. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions online.
De Los Reyes explained that in just two days, their family had already been charged over P34,000, and the bill was only partial, meaning additional charges were still expected. She also recalled another hospital confinement earlier in January 2025 where their family had to pay around P115,000 for a four-day stay.

Krystelle explained that the expenses felt disheartening because many ordinary workers earn in a month what some patients are forced to pay in just a short hospital visit.
Her experience shows the reality faced by many Filipino families today. Healthcare costs continue to rise, and without sufficient savings or insurance, families are often left struggling to settle medical expenses.
De Los Reyes shared that the situation made her realize on how difficult it is to get fast and proper medical attention unless one is financially prepared. She noted that those without funds may experience delays in treatment or may endure their condition at home instead.

The woman also mentioned their struggle with an internet issue involving their service provider, which added stress to the situation especially when work and communication rely heavily on a stable connection.
