Miss Jamaica Rushed to Hospital After Onstage Accident—Here’s What Really Happened
MISS JAMAICA – Pageant fans were left stunned after Miss Jamaica suffered a sudden fall during the Miss Universe 2025 preliminaries.
Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 candidate Dr. Gabrielle Henry became the center of concern after a frightening onstage accident during the Miss Universe 2025 preliminary competition. The incident took place on Wednesday night, November 19, 2025, at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand—an event that quickly drew the attention of pageant supporters worldwide.
Witnesses and pageant fans were shocked as Henry, an ophthalmologist representing Jamaica, fell from the stage during the evening gown segment. The fall, which was clearly captured on video, resulted in immediate medical intervention. She was quickly transported to the hospital, prompting widespread worry regarding her condition.

The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization immediately released an official statement to reassure the public. According to the group, “The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization wishes to advise the public that Dr. Gabrielle Henry, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, experienced a fall from the main stage during the evening gown round of the preliminary competition ahead of this weekend’s Miss Universe Finals in Thailand.”
They confirmed that she was taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital for medical care. As stated in their message, “She was rushed to the Paolo Rangsit Hospital, where medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries; however, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery.”
They also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and urged positivity in her healing journey. “We kindly ask everyone to stay upbeat, lift her in prayer, and send positive thoughts as she receives the necessary medical care. We thank everyone for their outpouring of love, support and continued prayers.”
A video also surfaced showing Henry being carefully lifted on a stretcher by several men as she was transported for treatment.

Miss Universe Organization President Raul Rocha personally visited Gabrielle at the hospital. He later shared an update to ease the concerns of the global pageant community. According to him: “I would like to share with the Miss Universe family that are concerned for the health of our Miss Universe Jamaica that at 12:00 A.M. Bangkok time, that I have just left the hospital where she is being treated.
“I was there with her family and her, and thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care.
“She will remain under observation for the rest of the night and we will remain in touch with her family to support her.
“Our prayers go out for her prompt recovery.”
