Statement of Malacañang on Marcos Jr. Following Tirades of Sen. Imee Marcos
Malacañang revealed the side of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. over the alleged illegal drug use of Senator Imee Marcos.
Some senators joined the rally organized by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC). One of those who spoke before the members of the INC was presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos. Undeniably, her statement was something that shocked many rallyists.

At the rally, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos allegedly use illegal drugs since they were still young. According to her, then, he was still not her responsibility as their late father, former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was still around.
It is no secret to the public that the presidential sister aligned herself with the Dutertes amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government. While she did not explicitly called for Marcos Jr. to resign, she asked him to go home and undergo treatment.

According to Sen. Imee Marcos, she can afford to see her brother losing the presidency but she cannot afford to lose him allegedly due to illegal drugs. She also claimed that First Lady Liza Marcos is allegedly into drugs as well.

Malacañang immediately debunked the allegations against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, it has long been proven that Marcos Jr. tested negative in the drug test prior to his presidential race. She also claimed that the President will not give in to the challenge of his sister to undergo a hair follicle drug test.
Recently, based on a report on GMA News, Atty. Claire Castro revealed the side of Pres. Bongbong Marcos following the accusations of alleged illegal drug use by Sen. Imee Marcos. According to the Malacañang press official, the Chief Executive is dismayed.

“Dismayado po ang Pangulo. Dismayado na umabot sa ganitong kasinungalingan ang ginawa ng kaniyang kapatid,” the Malacañang press official said.
Based on the report, the Palaca official also junked the challenge of Sen. Imee Marcos for the First Family to undergo a hair follicle drug test. Amid the silence of his father, presidential son and Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos slammed his aunt, Sen. Imee Marcos, for her accusations against PBBM.
